Meet Kevin Gray and AZ Firetech
AZ Firetech LLC is a locally owned fire protection company serving Phoenix and the East Valley. Owner Kevin Gray built it after more than 25 years in the industry, with one goal: be the easiest fire protection company a property manager has ever worked with.
Who is Kevin Gray?
Kevin Gray is the owner of AZ Firetech LLC and has spent more than 25 years in fire protection, much of it as a service manager. He knows inspections, repairs and code requirements from the field up, and he knows what it is like to be the customer waiting on a vendor.
Kevin moved to Arizona from California and saw the same problem here he had seen everywhere: big providers with long waits, slow reports and pricing that changed every visit. AZ Firetech is his answer. Small enough that you talk to a real person. Experienced enough to handle every system in your building.
He is currently working toward NICET Level III certification, the industry credential for senior fire alarm technicians, and stays involved with the Arizona Fire Alarm Association to keep up with code changes and local fire department expectations.
On LinkedIn, Kevin regularly shares what he sees in the field, from how monsoon season affects duct smoke detectors to why zone labels matter. Connect with Kevin on LinkedIn.
Licensed and involved in the industry
You can verify any Arizona contractor license on the Arizona Registrar of Contractors website.
What makes AZ Firetech different?
We are built to remove the friction big providers create. That means fast scheduling, reports within 24 hours, clear pricing, and a real person who knows your building when you call. We also handle the reporting your fire department requires after inspections and repairs.
Days, not weeks
Inspections scheduled quickly, with same day or next day service when something fails.
Reports in 24 hours
Findings, photos and solutions in your inbox the next day, written so you can act on them.
Clear pricing
Straightforward pricing and a quote before any repair. No surprises on the invoice.
Fire department updates
When we inspect or correct a system, the fire department gets the update it requires.
Real people
Call and talk to someone who knows your property, not a phone tree.
Every system
Alarms, sprinklers, lights, extinguishers, backflows, pumps and hoods with one vendor.
The details we catch
During a recent waterflow test on a wet sprinkler system installed in 2023, the fire alarm module for that riser reported as a dry sprinkler. Every device worked, but the label was wrong, and in an emergency that sends responders to the wrong place. Catching that is the job.
That is the standard Kevin holds every inspection to: not just did it pass, but will it work the way it should when it counts.
“We trust AZ Firetech for all our fire protection needs.”
